We are so thrilled to welcome the newest member of the Ocean team, Dr. Heather Thomson. As the Director of Customer Success here at CognisantMD, Heather has jumped in and is already developing and sharing best practices with our community of Ocean users. With over 12 years’ experience in the healthcare field, her deep understanding of clinical settings, workflow and love of technology is a great asset to our organization – and more importantly our customers!
Before joining us here, Heather was leading the strategic Partnerships team at Health Quality Ontario in the implementation of a partnership framework and partner engagement strategy. Prior to that, she worked as a Registered Nurse and education coordinator at St. Joseph’s Health Centre in Toronto, assessing staff learning needs and developing, implementing and evaluating education programs to foster optimal staff practice.
Heather received her PhD in Nursing Science with a diploma in Health Services Policy Research at the University of Toronto, and is an Adjunct Lecturer in the Faculty of Nursing there. She completed her Bachelor of Nursing at the University of Calgary.
