Meet the New Members of the Ocean Team!

A lot has been happening at CognisantMD over the last little while…new products, features, programs, even faces! That’s right, it’s been a year since we did our last company update, so we figured it was time to introduce the latest additions to the Ocean family. Say hello to Adam, Shawn, Melissa, Joey, and Meganne!

Adam Lanyon, Account Manager

Adam comes to CognisantMD with a deep understanding of business development, sales, and client engagement. He takes these skills into each demo with potential customers, helping CognisantMD establish great first impressions and leave lasting impacts. He’s also well-versed in creating online e-resources so you might recognize his voice in some of our upcoming support videos.

Shawn Allison, Customer Success Associate

For over a decade, Shawn has worked with, and consulted for, both startups and large scale businesses to help develop web-based services. Leveraging his years of technical experience, and ability to translate issues between developers and end-users, Shawn is helping support our customers through any challenges or questions they may encounter using the Ocean platform.

Melissa Lee, Marketing Manager

As a recent graduate from the University of Waterloo with a BSc in Health Studies, Melissa is excited to finally combine her passion for health and technology at CognisantMD. Despite a background in science, she is a marketer by profession. After spending a couple years in the tech industry working on social media, content marketing, and customer support, returning to health and helping improve the quality of care for others was the next logical step.

Joey Chan, Customer Success Associate

Joey recently completed her HBA at the Ivey School of Business with a Health Sciences background. She is passionate in bridging the gaps in healthcare by leveraging technology to improve the patient quality of care. With her background in business and health sciences, she offers a diversified perspective to communicate and support customers in using the Ocean platform.

Meganne Sholdice, Clinical Quality Improvement Specialist

Meganne has over a decade of experience in clinical informatics, project management, and quality improvement in the healthcare field. She is currently completing a Masters of Health Informatics at the University of Toronto and previously studied Health Sciences at Simon Fraser University. Meganne has seen first hand how technology can transform patient care and is excited to help customers improve patient engagement and coordination of care with Ocean.

Congratulations Ingrid!

Sadly, as we welcomed these new team members, we also bid farewell to our first Customer Success Associate, Ingrid Cheung. While it was a big loss to our team, we could not be happier to see Ingrid moving on to fulfil her lifelong dream of becoming a doctor! Please join us in wishing Ingrid all the best as she embarks upon this next journey completing the University of Toronto’s Doctor of Medicine program.
